Thank you for visiting the Juice Herald. When you visit this page, you probably want to know what this site is all about. Doh! Let me explain to you…
Some background
My name is Jan van Iperen and I will be your host for this visit… Let me give you some details:

Jan van Iperen
30-something Dutch guy, living in Rotterdam. Active in the juice industry for a company called INDUPRO BV, which I am currently taking over from my father. My father is like a walking encyclopedia with regard to the juice industry, but hey, he has been in this dynamic business ever since the late 60′s.
Since 2003 I have been in the company together with my father and gradually I have been touched by this virus and passion that encapsulates fruit juices, concentrates, purees, oils and other by-products.
As a hobby, I started with website building some 6 years ago. Ever since I kept myself up to date with what was going on in web-development, social media, etc.
The platform to work with for online projects I prefer is WordPress, a publishing framework that enables an unparalleled range of possibilities, being written in an easy and quick to learn code. The site you are viewing right now was built on it.
The design of the site is usually a personalized version of an existing theme as my coding skills are not too advanced.
Why the Juice Herald?
So, why did I publish this site?
When you are busy with actually building sites, growing a visitor and reader base, it is logical that you look at sites with a different eye. With that same eye I looked at the various sites that cover what is going on in the juice industry. It was funny to see two trends with most websites:
- Most sites covering news from the juice industry only display limited information, which is only fully visible to those that pay extremely high-priced subscriptions.
- Most sites covering news from the juice industry are 1-way traffic sites: They push information, yet do not allow for any kind of response from its visitors and readers.
In order to make a long story short: I saw an opportunity, gave the idea some wings, a name and some future perspective and after a period of preparations and building here it is: the Juice Herald.
The idea is to create an open discussion between the juice industry and the consumer, based on the news and developments that are currently influencing the market for everybody involved… producing or consuming. Open discussion, full posts (on the website or in your email), full feeds, no paid subscriptions, no secrets.
Enjoy and check back every now and then, I am pushing myself to keep every part as dynamic as possible!
